HANA QMS

For clinics & hospitals

Calmer waiting rooms, from consultation to pharmacy

Give every patient a clear number for each step of their visit, call them by voice and on screen, and move seniors, PWD and pregnant patients ahead without announcing why.

Typical challenges

What gets in the way today

  • One visit, several queues

Patients move from registration to consultation, laboratory, billing and pharmacy, and often lose track of where they stand.

  • Priority patients

Seniors, PWD and pregnant patients must go first, but staff should not have to ask or announce the reason in public.

  • A crowded front desk

Without a visible number, patients hover at the counter to check whether they have been forgotten.

  • Sensitive information

Names called out loud or shown on a screen reveal more than a waiting room should.

A day in the life

From opening to close

How a typical day runs with HANA QMS. Times are examples.

  1. Doors open

Patients take a Consultation ticket on the lobby tablet; seniors and pregnant patients are registered at the desk with a priority class.

  2. First calls

Room 1 presses Call next. A priority ticket is called first, and the display announces it by number only.

  3. On to the laboratory

After consultation, staff transfer the patient to Laboratory. The ticket keeps its original registration time.

  4. A missed call

A patient stepped out. Staff skip the ticket and recall it when they return, within the 30-minute skip window.

  5. Billing and pharmacy

Patients check their place on their phone while they wait for billing.

  6. Review the day

The manager checks waiting time per service against its target and exports the day’s report.

How HANA QMS helps

Built for how your front desk works

Every point below is a standard part of the product, configured by your own admins.

  • A queue per service

Each service has its own prefix, such as A for Consultation and B for Laboratory, so patients always know which line they are in.

  • Transfers keep their place

Staff transfer a patient from consultation to laboratory and the ticket keeps its original registration time.

  • Priority lanes, shown as a symbol

Senior citizen, PWD and Pregnant classes are called first, with a fairness rule so standard patients keep moving.

  • Numbers, never names

The display shows only queue numbers and counters, and names and mobile numbers are removed after your retention period.

  • Status on the patient’s phone

Patients check their position and estimated wait by queue number or mobile number, without signing in.

Recommended setup

A starting point you can change any time

A suggested first configuration. Your admins adjust services, counters and rules themselves as you learn what works.

Routing
Counter-based routing: each consultation room or window serves its own service, and a general counter serves all of them.
Priority lanes
Senior citizen, PWD and Pregnant above Standard, with a fairness rule such as one standard call after every three priority calls.
Displays
One display in the main waiting area, plus a display limited to laboratory counters where the lab has its own waiting space.

Common questions

Asked by teams like yours

Can a patient join several queues in one visit?
Yes. Staff transfer the ticket from one service to the next, such as Consultation to Laboratory, and it keeps its number and original registration time.
Does the display show patient names?
No. The display shows only queue numbers and counters, and priority appears as a symbol, never the reason.
Can the laboratory have its own screen?
Yes. A display can be limited to selected services or counters, such as the laboratory windows.
